Tamil Nadu VAO Written Exam Pattern 2014 l VAO Examination Syllabus 2014: Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is going to conduct written test to recruit 2342 posts of Village Administrative Officer (VAO) Grama Nirvaga Aluvalar. So candidates who applied for VAO posts have to appear for written exam. VAO Written Exam scheme was below.

TNPSC Grama Nirvaga Aluvala Recruitment 2014 Apply Online For 2342 Posts of VAO at tnpsc.gov.in: Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has published recruitment notice for the appointment of 2342 vacancies of Village Administrative Officer (VAO) Grama Nirvaga Aluvalar in Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service. TamilNadu VAO Hall Tickets Download 2014 - tnpscexams.net: Village Administrative Officer (VAO) Written Examination will be held by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) to recruit 2342 posts of VAO in the State of TamilNadu. Candidates who applied for TNPSC VAO Recruitment 2013-14 has to appear for the Written Test which is conducted on 14.06.2014. In order to attend, VAO Exam 2014, candidates are required to download, printout and carry the VAO Hall ticket to the examination hall. Total Number of Posts: 30 (General (UR): 16, SC: 4, ST: 2, OBC: 8)

Pay scale: Basic pay of Rs. 17240 /- per month in the scale of Rs. 17240- 840(14) –29000– 910(4) –
32640 (Under Revision) and other admissible allowances as per rules.

Age Limit: Age should be between 21 years and 30 years as on 1st March,2014. Upper age limit for reserved category candidates will be relaxable as per rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have compulsorily passed paper CT1 and CT5 plus 4 or more other papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries, London/Actuarial Society of India. (Total 6 or more papers) as on the date of eligibility i.e. 1st March, 2014.

Application Fees /Intimation Charges(Non-refundable): 

For SC/ST/ PWD Candidates Intimation Charges of Rs. 50/- plus Transaction Charges 

For all Other Candidates Application Fee-cum-Intimation Charges of Rs. 500/- plus Transaction Charges


Selection Process: Selection will be made on the basis of performance in the on-line test followed by a personal interview of short listed candidates and subsequent Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination

On-line Test: 
On-line test will be of objective type, multiple choice of 120 minutes (2 hrs) duration comprising of the following: 
  1. Reasoning Ability (40 Questions)
  2. Numerical Ability (40 Questions)
  3. English Language with Special emphasis on Grammar, Vocabulary and Comprehension (40 Questions)
Total Number of questions are 120 and the exam will be conducted for 200 Marks.

Candidate MUST pass in each Section separately and should also obtain minimum marks in the aggregate to qualify for the interview. 

How to apply: Eligible Candidates who wish to apply are required to apply On-line through LIC’s website www.licindia.in under the heading “Careers" from 20th March, 2014 to 6th April, 2014.

Issue of Call Letters for on-line test: 
Candidates will have to visit the website under the heading “Careers” http://www.licindia.in/careers.htm for downloading call letters for on-line test from the first week of May, 2014 onwards from the given link hosted on LIC’s website
