DISTRICT INSTITUTES OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING (DIET) / ELEMENTARY TEACHER TRAINING INSTITUTES COMMON ENTRANCE TEST - 2014
Online applications are invited from candidates who intend to take admission into two year Diploma in Education (D.Ed.,) in Government District Institutes of Educational Training (DIETs) and Private Elementary Teacher Training Institutions in the state. DIETCET will be conducted by Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh in all 23 Districts of the State.
Fee and submission of Application Online:
Candidates who are going to apply for DIETCET have to pay examination fee of Rs. 200/- through APONLINE or e-Seva centers between scheduled dates. Candidates should submit their application through online at the DIETCET website http://dietcet.cgg.gov.in on or before last date.
Examination Centers for DIETCET:
DIETCET shall be conducted in all the 23 Districts of the State. Candidate can choose any Examination Centre (District) of his choice. However, when the capacity of any particular Examination Centre (District) gets exhausted that particular Examination Centre (District) will not be displayed in the list of examination centers given in the online application form. In such case the candidate has to choose Examination Centre (District) of his/her choice from the remaining list available.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidate should be of Indian Nationality.
Age Limit: The candidates should have completed 17 years. There is no upper age limit.
Educational Qualifications:
The candidate who passed or appeared for the 10+2 Examinations (qualifying examination) or its equivalent with 45% for OC & OBC (In case of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Physically Challenged candidates shall however be 40%) are eligible to appear for the entrance test.
Note: The candidates who passed Intermediate examination with vocational course(s) are not eligible.
Qualifying marks:
Qualifying marks in DIETCET, for “OC” and “BC” is 35% marks (i.e. 35 marks, because the exam will be conducted for 100 Marks). No minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates.
How to apply:
The candidates shall first download the ‘Information Bulletin’ free of cost from the DIETCET website
http://dietcet.cgg.gov.in/, go through it carefully and satisfy their eligibility for appearing for DIETCET, 2013.
The candidate after satisfying herself/himself about the eligibility criteria for DIETCET shall pay a fee of Rs.200.00 through APONLINE or e-Seva between 12.04.2013 and 25.04.2013 for submission of application thorugh Online. At the APONLINE or e-Seva Centres, the candidate has to give the required preliminary data (i.e. Name of the candidate, Date of birth, Gender, whether the candidate belongs to A.P. and mobile phone number). On receipt of fee at APONLINE e-Seva the candidate shall be issued a ‘Journal Number’ with which she/he can proceed with submission of application online. Issue of Journal Number does not mean that the candidate has completed submission of application online. It is only a confirmation of the fee received.
