7 Steps to apply for a fresh passport :-
Step 1Candidate first Register through the Passport Seva website : http://passportindia.gov.in/.
(Click on "Register Now" button below New User in the Apply section).
Step 2Verify your Account and Login to the Passport Seva Portal with the registered Login details.
Step 3Click on "Apply for Fresh Passport/Reissue of Passport" link, in order to apply for a fresh passport.
Step 4Fill the application through online or download the pdf application, fill up and then upload it to Passport Seva website (Click Here to know how fill up application)
Step 5Now candidates are required to book their appointment at Passport Seva Kendram. To book appointment date, click on "Pay and Schedule Appointment" link and book your appointment date.
In order to book appointment at all Passport Seva Kendras, Candidates have to make the payment.

Candidates may pay the fee in any one of mode either through online such as Credit/Debit Card (MasterCard & Visa), Internet Banking (State Bank of India (SBI) and Associate Banks Only) or Offline through SBI Bank Challan.
Step 6Click the "Print Application Receipt" link and take printout of the application receipt containing Application Reference Number (ARN)/Appointment Number.
Step 7Visit the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) where appointment has been booked, along with original documents such as 10th Class, Birth certificate, Voter Id/Aadhaar and application receipt etc.
Custodian Certificate :-
Students who didn't have their certifications with them, can apply for custodian certificate from their respective college. The custodian certificate, in which college authority will tell that all the originals certificates of yours are in their college.
